Yritys
Kuka tai ketkä ova kaupan takana ja mistä idea siihen lähti?
It began with one woman's dream to make a difference.

Heiðrún Ósk Sigfúsdóttir Dimmblá's founder loved fashionable styles and was often tempted into buying a hot item. She noticed new fashion trends coming out every week so her clothes made her feel out of trend almost immediately.

This usually left her a year later with an emptier wallet and a wardrobe filled with useless clothes.

When her mother was young fast fashion didn't even exist.

Her mother had a dress in her wardrobe that she had used for years and still looked new. The dress was passed on to her and she loved it because she had memory attached to it and it had a purpose.

What's more, in 2013 she was shocked to learn devastating facts about the clothing industry and how wasteful and harmful to the environment manufacturing common fabrics and materials can be.

She decided to become conscientious consumer and disciplined herself to get the most from her money when buying clothes.

She started to buy from brands that aligned with her own values and treated people and the environment with respect.

She wanted items that reflected her individual style longer and she could enjoy for many seasons to reduce frequency of apparel purchases.

Her clothes today compliment her existing style and wardrobe and she feels good about what she wears.

She is positive that with a proper care for her clothes she will be able to pass her clothes on to her cousin, or a friend and her clothes will last for years.

And that's who we want to reach; a woman who strives to be confident, independent and comfortable in all aspects of her being - conscious, open-minded, liberal to tough. A woman who is optimistic, wants to pursue uniqueness and enjoy life with traveling, experiencing new culture and spending time outside. Who recycles and cares for the planet.

Today we draw, design and sew for her.
Millä tavalla pyritte parantamaan ympäristön ja ihmisten hyvinvointia?
I believe sustainable and ethical companies have an opportunity to change the status quo and be dedicated to both environmental and ethical practices throughout their production processes. I also want to educate others so consumers can start questioning how the clothes we wear everyday are made and how, and what kind of conditions manufacturers provide to their employees.

Onko teidän pitänyt luopua jostakin kestävämmän ja vastuullisemman toimintatavan vuoksi?
I have chosen work conditions that require ethical standards, which sometimes reduces ’efficiency and the products cost more because I don't want the manufacturer to compromise and pay low salaries and increase overtime.
