Company
Who is behind the shop and where the idea came from?
FafeNenne was officially launched in 2011. Everything started with a hand-painted fabric. The brand was focusing on the very beginnings of producing bags, but over the years, the marvelous world of drawing patterns was also in the form of other products. A passion for painting and imagemaking is keeping the fire burning. Behind the brand is "DifferentDooris" Tiia Laurila.
How many people work for your company?
So far, one, and indeed, the family has to take part in some arrangements. :-) Also the name of the company originated from the names of my children.
What have been the highlights for your company?
Highlights are, of course, making new designs and, on the other hand, the moment when the product is finished and when someone wants to buy it. Of course, old customers, who are ordering again, give encouragement to do this.
How do you aim to improve the welfare of the environment and human.
I try to design products that I really need, so many new products are just getting started. Needed. I also want to manufacture durable products. Products manufactured as much as possible from domestic materials and local produce.
I do not make a lot of products in stock, but keep in small series and do a lot of custom work, for example bags, so that the customer gets the size and color of the bag as needed.
Has your company had to give up something to be more sustainable and responsible?
No.
What are your visions for the future?
Designing and drawing patterns and prints as well as painting are the starting point for my passion. I dream of possible cooperation with the various manufactors. I am fascinating to do finnish products and its high degree in products as well as of course ecology.
What is your motto?
Haluan tuoda esille sanan arkitaide. Ja eläköön erilaisuus.
What inspires you?
Diversity. Art. From old to new. Art for clothing. Individuality. People. Faces. Nature. Inspiration can be found all the time and behind every corner. I see many things as images in my mind.
Products and product creation
Which product best describes you and why?
My new flaws have a lot of human faces. Maybe that's where those prints are. I love to describe the face. My other favorite products are woodimitationfabrics, which I make from time to time as a custom work.
